Jacqueline and David were captivated by the beauty and quiet pace of Tasmania after living in Singapore for many years and decided to settle in the charming village of Bellerive. Views from the house take in the River Derwent and Mount Wellington beyond which lend their names to two of the guest rooms.
The house embodied their dreams and they set about renovating and transforming it into the elegant, luxury bed and breakfast it is today. Bellerive House is an eclectic mix of Australian, English and Asian influences. Rich silk textiles collected on trips to Laos add to the exotic ambience.
Bellerive House has been opened to guests since January 2006 and in that time has given Jacqueline and David the pleasure of greeting guests from all over the world. Their aim is to share their enthusiasm for the hospitality industry and Tasmanian life with their guests so that when they leave Bellerive House they do so they feeling indulged in luxury, comfort and fine food.
They share their house with “Olley”, a black Labrador pup who is always keen to meet new friends and welcome back old ones.
